Double page Spread. (Cash & Careers Clinic)

Here is my work:

This is the unfinished version of my work. We were making our version of a magazine double page spread. The above one is mine. We had to first open up a double page spread using InDesign and then we had to insert the rectangle frame tool on each box. We then put in text into our work, but because we didn't have enough time to find and put in text we just filled the gap with placeholder text.

Then we had to make the thumbnails for the work. We had to put in 5 more rectangle frame tools but they had to be 15 x 15. Then we placed the pictures that sir provided to us and, while pressing shift, we had to resize it into the shape to fit into the rectangle frame tool. We then changed the wrap text for the picture. We put it in a way that the text wrapped around it.

As I have said before this is the unfinished copy. I will later post the finished version of this where I have added other things to the page spread.

My Katy Perry Magazine Cover.

Then we had to make our own magazine covers. I chose Katy Perry for my cover.

 We had to make our own version of a magazine using the Rihanna magazine cover as an idea. We were told we could choose any celebrity we wanted. I chose Katy Perry. I cut her out of the background and softened the area around her and then placed her into the already pink background. We put rulers onto the sides to keep the text aligned.

After doing so, I had to put information about celebrity gossip around her and place it in a way that it looked realistic. I tried my best to make it look believable by keeping the theme as black, white and pink. I then had to resize and edit the text and put in the price and the barcode in.

This is the first photoshop work I did.

We were given a video tutorial on what we should do and then I followed them step by step and this was my final result.  We all had to use the video tutorial and follow it step by step. I did the same piece of work as it was on the video. I changed the colour of the text around so it was a bit different.
